I can't tell you how happy I was to hear the opening of your podcast. Thank you sooooo much.

I have been an Astrologer for 50 years and I had never heard about this Lion's Gate until fairly recently. Our profession was once an occult practice and as it went public in a big way, people are out there saying all kinds of things every day on social media platforms that make me want to cringe. Acknowledgment of the art and science of Astrology is wonderful...misrepresenting and unnecessary hype is weakening. As for the Stars, classic book on that is by Vivian E Robson: The Fixed Stars and Constellations in Astrology.

Re the 8/8, we can find this in the 8 cycles of the Celtic Agricultural Calendar and the Gate of Leo is 15 degrees, the midpoint between the Summer Solstice and the Libra Equinox. The other Gates are 15 of the other fixed signs. Yes...the holiday of honoring the first harvest. You can find my post on this on my substack if you are interested. Shellie Writes.

Our pleasure!!! Thanks for tuning in and for the book recommendation - the fixed stars are certainly calling me too. I like what you wrote about the midpoint gates, a meaningful way of marking time. xo
